Winman Middle School

a NEASC Accredited School

2025-2026 School Year

First Day of School Information:

  • All Grades 6, 7 & 8 will report to school on August 28, 2025.

  • For the drop off and pick up route, please click here.

    • Students should be ready to exit the vehicle upon stopping at the curb in the drop off area. The curb in the drop-off area has been painted green to designate the “safe to unload zone”. As vehicles approach this area, students should exit from the passenger side of the vehicle. This procedure allows for multiple students to be dropped off safely and efficiently, helping to keep traffic moving and preventing backups.

    • Please refrain from parking in teacher/staff parking spots during drop off and pick up, as these spaces are needed.

  • If your child is taking the bus, please review your child’s bus number and bus stop with your child. Bus information can be found here. Please check in frequently to see if any changes or updates have been made before the first day of school. Routes may be adjusted by stops and/or times.

  • All students will enter the building using the main entrance.

    • 8th Grade students will report to the cafeteria until 7:45 am.

    • 6th and 7th Grade students will report to the auditorium until 7:45 am.

  • Please be sure to review your child’s schedule and homeroom in Aspen, as there may have been some changes made to their schedules. Click here for Aspen.

  • All students at Winman are assigned a locker for daily use. Students will have the opportunity to practice opening their lockers, with assistance if needed. Practice with opening a combination lock ahead of time will assist students with this process. Students should never share their combination with other students. Lockers must remain closed and locked at all times to ensure security of personal belongings.

    • Backpacks are not permitted during the school day. Backpacks must be stowed in each individual student’s locker. Students are not permitted to share lockers for safety and security reasons.

  • School doors open at 7:30 am for students to enter the building.

  • Homeroom starts at 7:55 am. Any student entering their homeroom after 7:55 am will be considered tardy.

    • Tardies — Students who are tardy more than three times during an academic quarter will receive an after school detention.  Each subsequent tardy during that academic quarter will result in an additional detention. Lateness due to doctor appointments (with a doctor's note), legal, and religious reasons are considered excused.

  • Breakfast and lunch served in the cafeteria is available to all students. Click here to view pricing information. Click here to create a Student Lunch Account via LINQ CONNECT FAMILY PORTAL. We have a “Nut Free Table”.

  • Water only - Reusable water bottles are permitted as long as they don’t leak. Bottles must have a secure cap. No sports water bottles (squeezable types are prohibited due to safety reasons, spillage, etc.).

  • Our school day ends at 2:20 pm. Buses are scheduled to leave our property at approximately 2:27 pm. Please be prompt if picking up.

    • Students taking buses will report to their bus room immediately upon dismissal. Please see the chart below.
